UNVEILING THE WRITER

As a writer and scriptwriter from North Carolina, Brandie realized her writing future after being inspired by her mother’s writing and by reading a short story, The Smallest Dragonboy, by Anne McCaffrey. When she's not busy working on fantasy or science fiction stories, she writes poetry inspired by her peculiar family.

Tenacious, describes Brandie in regards to her drive to succeed with writing. She’s completed both her Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing  and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment at Full Sail.

Brandie’s current works include short screenplays for film, webisodes, and speculative scripts from some favorite TV series. She’s published an e-book collection of short stories at Smashwords.com. The Ship’s Fairy and Other Stories is a collection of flash/short fiction about three different girls from three different worlds with three very different problems. Adapting her stories into scripts is one of her many talents. Additional works include an epic fantasy novel to be the first in a series about her created realm, Karnworth, on the planet Aldebaren.

Ultimately, Brandie is eager to promote the advancement of the TV and film industry in her home state and help re-invigorate it, bringing it back from states like Georgia. She enjoys scuba diving with her husband, playing with reptiles, or fishing with family and friends.
